Seiko has just released a limited edition Seiko SRPJ39K collaboration with Japan's leading skateboarder Yuto Horigome, who has been hitting the skate park since he was six years old. Yoto Horigome worked with Seiko to create a watch he would love and collaborated with them on colours, finishes, materials and graphics in order to make something truly unique.

Seiko watches offer a deep history of being the first in innovative technology for timepieces. They created the world's first quartz watch in 1969 in which they created a revolution where everyone started adopting the technology. As recently as 2012 they created the world's first GPS Solar watch which is able to give you precise time no matter where you are in the world regardless of what timezone you are in.

Overview:

Yuto Horigome

Yuto Horigome is a Japanese Street League Skateboarding champion who took his first international win in 2018 at the age of 19. After reaching the top ranks in Japanese domestic competitions Horigome moved to the United States to win first place a year after his debut in the country. After years of hard work and training, Yuto Horigome placed first in the 2021 world championships.

Seiko Street Style

In his collaboration with Seiko, Yuto Horigome chose to create a Seiko Street Style watch that is known for its stainless steel cases and lightweight nylon straps. The street style is part of the Seiko 5 sports collection which is known for its 50 year history where it has consistently delivered high levels of reliability, durability, performance and value to watch lovers.

It is a limited edition with only 6000 watches being released worldwide.

It is the first time the SKX series of watches features a camouflage pattern on the dial and don't forget the day/date window for added functionality. The dial is made up of stealthy black, grey and light grey colours. The camouflage pattern is intricate with parts of the paint overlapping each other giving it a 3D texture. It matches the black coating of the stainless steel case. The bezel has clearly readable numbers and a texture that runs along the entirety of the edge for easy rotation. The back of the case is completely transparent allowing you to see the inside technicalities of a watch. It has been finished with a sleek signature in gold printing from Yuto Horigome.
