An exciting new release, Seiko has recently announced a new trio of models that will be available now at Grahams. Based heavily on the latest generation of Prospex Speedtimer  Chronographs, these models are inspired by their antecedent originally released in 1969, however, jam-packed with the latest updates in technology. The Seiko Prospex watches successfully embody the collection's core design ethos, while moving away slightly to ensure that they have their own unique spirit and points of distinction.

Seiko have made the most of their latest innovation in solar power by equipping each of the Prospex Speedtimer Chronographs with Seiko's Calibre V192. Complete with a chronometry performance of +/- 15 seconds per month at normal operating temperatures, you can ensure reliable timekeeping all year around. This calibre is powered by solar energy from either artificial or natural light, and when fully charged has an incredible power reserve of 6 months - even without being exposed to light. Each model features a 60-minute chronograph, 24-hour sub-dial and date aperture that sits between 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock.

Overview:

SSC911P

The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Chronograph with the reference SSC911P offers the ever-popular monochromatic colour scheme that features a silvery-white dial offset with three black sub-dial registers, a date aperture and red dials for a pop of colour. The bezel has a tachymeter and features a black and grey gradient that ties the elements of the watch together nicely while the hands and markers are covered with luminescent material. The 'panda' colourway is at its height of popularity, partly due to its extensive versatility. This is a timepiece that you can wear-and-forget while elevating any outfit.

The stainless steel case has a decently sized diameter of 41.40mm and is only 13mm thick, giving the watch a sturdy yet streamline feel. The SSC911P offers a sporty look that is supported by the exposed chronograph pushers and crown, while the bracelet maintains a classic and cool feel. Altogether, the timepiece is a sleek and modern take on a traditional chronograph with an understated look, filled with top-tier tech.

SSC913P

To add a splash of colour to the mix, the SSC913P rocks the iconic 'Pepsi' blue and red duo that is instantly a hit with many. Similar to the first model, the SSC913P has black sub-dial registers and a black background date aperture. This timepiece offers more of a focus on the bezel and tachymeter with an electric blue gradient from 250 to 60 and red quarter from 60 to 250.

The main point of difference between the first two models is the fun play on colour that the SSC913P offers, however, it features the same stainless steel band, case and tech. When it comes down to colour, it is personal preference about which you would find more wearability and enjoyment from. While a more poignant colourway, this tone of blue is highly popular in watches and doesn't down-play its quality in any way. For those who are more adventurous with their accessories, the SSC913P is an ideal choice.

SSC915P

Last but not least, there is the Seiko Prospex Chronograph SSC915P that boasts a darker colour combination. The dark backdrop plays in contrast with distinctive red hands and luminescent markers, while the bezel features a stark red quarter from 60 to 250 and then proceeds with a soft black gradient from 250 back up to 60.

This design is a happy-medium between the three watches, and is more understated with its subtle pops of colour yet overall monochromatic scheme. This piece is especially versatile, and is great for a casual, professional or formal settings with its refined and sophisticated finishes.
