Presented in sleek 70s style, the Tissot PRX collection has seen several variations over its exciting lifespan. This line of Tissot watches reinterprets a design first seen in the late 1970s, that epitomised the class of the Swiss brand with its flat and angular design.

Anyone who's had the privilege of trying a Tissot PRX has had a chance to appreciate the unique integrated bracelet ' perhaps the most distinctive feature of this range. As you would expect, the new Tissot PRX 35mm range keeps the same bracelet and design, and scales it down to fit a 35mm case.

One of the great things about this downsized Tissot PRX collection is that they make fantastic unisex watches. We'll go into the comparisons between the PRX 35mm and 40mm in a moment, but first, let's take a look at one of the new watches in the range.

Overview:

Introducing The New Tissot Unisex PRX 35mm

At its new size, the PRX 35mm looks refreshed and elegant. The release comes in a set of colour variants, including a sky blue timepiece that we supply right now. We've praised the bracelet for its distinct style, but it's clear just how appealing the craft is when you get a closer look:

These links are flat and streamlined; made more impressive with a vertical brushed finish. The bracelet is integrated, meaning that it is made specifically to fit with the PRX 35mm case. You won't be able to find this bracelet on any other range, and you won't be able to swap it out on the Tissot PRX either.

Because the bracelet comes in a smaller size, the PRX 35mm is the perfect unisex Tissot watch. This timepiece will be a better fit for anyone with smaller wrists, and its style slots comfortably between refined and elegant.

This sky blue colour is a particular favourite at Grahams. There's something about how the lightness of the blue is reflected in the sunray dial that hits the right note. It pairs well with the brushed stainless steel, and it matches with neutral tone outfits.

This model comes in a quartz movement with a small date window for some extra timekeeping. The Tissot PRX 35mm is durable and reliable enough for daily wear (especially with a flat sapphire glass) but we feel you'll get the most joy from dressing up with it.

Tissot PRX 35mm or PRX 40mm?

With minimal differences between the styling of these watches ' you may spot that the white PRX 35mm doesn't share the same brush-stroke dial texture as the 40mm variant ' it really comes down to your personal preference.

If you thought that the Tissot PRX 40mm was just a bit too big for you, you'll likely get a lot more wear out of this smaller collection. The smaller bracelet can feel smoother on the wrist, yet it still stands out with that integrated style.

The PRX 40mm offers a greater view of the watch's dial, which is great for both readability and appearance. If you really want to add some vibrant green (or whichever colour you like) to your outfit, the 40mm will do that perfectly. On the other hand, the Tissot PRX 35 is a little more subtle.

PRX 35mm or Tissot PRX Powermatic 80?

At the other end of the price spectrum is the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80. This is a seriously powerful automatic watch that can last up to 80-hours once you've taken it off.

Like any other automatic, this watch will gain charge as you walk thanks to its expertly crafted mechanical movement. However, this also means that the PRX Powermatic 80 has a higher price tag than the PRX 35mm.

Aside from the movement, this collection has a similar case and bracelet, with extra dial designs to try out. These look as great as ever, and the automatic movement gives this PRX model a strong luxury edge.

Our Verdict

If you're looking for a timepiece with a design that's timeless, the Tissot PRX is your watch. The classic one-link style steel bracelet is a perfect fit for the width of the case, and the colourful dials add another enticing element.

Not only are Tissot PRX watches nice to look at; they're durable, too. The PRX 35mm is made with high-quality material, and is built to last. The line boasts a stainless steel case and bracelet, which are waterproof up to 100 metres of water pressure.

The Swiss-made timepiece also features a sapphire crystal glass to make it scratch-proof, as well as Super-Luminova hands for extra visibility in the dark.

The Tissot PRX 35mm comes in a quartz movement, while the larger PRX 40mm is available in both quartz battery and automatic. Quartz watches are more affordable, which makes this smaller unisex Tissot well worth the price if you're convinced by its design.
